Chronic constipation affects more than just physical comfort. When prescription costs add financial stress to daily discomfort, treatment becomes another burden.

The Rx Advocates connect patients to manufacturer Patient Assistance Programs (PAPs) that replace unpredictable retail costs with fixed monthly fees. Our team manages enrollment so you can focus on symptom relief.

What is the Trulance Patient Assistance Program?

Pharmaceutical companies establish patient assistance programs for individuals who can’t afford necessary medications. The Trulance program offers continuous prescription access rather than short-term savings from coupons or discount cards.

Our team links patients to these manufacturer-operated initiatives. We collaborate with you and your healthcare providers to prepare application materials, then deliver them to the pharmaceutical companies administering these programs. We follow up consistently to track applications through processing stages. After approval, we handle ongoing refills to prevent treatment interruptions. We work with more than 100 pharmaceutical companies operating programs for over 800 FDA-approved medications.

Satisfying income criteria doesn’t automatically guarantee acceptance since manufacturers evaluate every application before making final enrollment decisions.

How to Qualify

Programs use income caps and residency status to determine who qualifies for medication support. We examine your financial details against these requirements to identify eligibility.

Typical income limits include:

  • Individuals qualify if they earn up to $40,000 annually
  • Couples qualify if they earn up to $60,000 annually
  • Larger families qualify if they earn up to $100,000 annually
  • U.S. residency and a valid prescription

Each manufacturer designs unique program standards, so Trulance eligibility may differ from requirements for other medications. Get in touch and we’ll review your circumstances against current thresholds.

The Rx Advocates Can Help Reduce Trulance Costs

We connect patients to manufacturer programs spanning more than 800 FDA-approved medications. We’re not a coupon provider, insurance company, or pharmacy discount card.

We work alongside you and your medical team to assemble applications, then submit them to pharmaceutical companies. We check in regularly to verify applications arrive and move through review. Once enrolled, we coordinate recurring refills to maintain consistent medication access.

Patients pay a one-time $35 enrollment fee, then monthly service charges based on prescription quantity. After manufacturer program approval, your medications arrive at no extra cost. Your sole expense is our monthly service fee, which stays constant regardless of retail price changes.

Why PAPs Are Better Than Coupons

Coupons provide immediate cost reductions but include restrictions that undermine long-term reliability for patients needing ongoing CIC or IBS-C treatment. Patient assistance programs address the limitations that make coupons impractical for sustained use.

Disadvantages of coupons

  • Restrictions: Eligibility criteria or redemption location limits reduce accessibility
  • Copay Accumulators: Insurance plan structures may prevent coupon values from counting toward out-of-pocket maximums
  • Expiration Dates: Time-limited validity creates coverage gaps when coupons expire
  • Limited Coverage: Even with coupons applied, significant out-of-pocket costs often remain

Advantages of PAP through The Rx Advocates

  • Fixed Monthly Cost: Stable pricing based on medication count, unaffected by retail fluctuations
  • No Expiration: Continuous program access while eligibility requirements are maintained
  • Direct From Manufacturer: Medications shipped through pharmaceutical company channels
  • Broad Support: Access to programs covering more than 800 FDA-approved medications

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Common questions about Trulance costs and manufacturer assistance programs answered below.

With The Rx Advocates, patients pay a fixed monthly service fee, which depends on the number of medications covered.

  • 1 Medication (Trulance only) – $80 per month
  • 2 Medications (Trulance + 1 other) – $90 per month
  • 3 Medications (Trulance + 2 others) – $100 per month
  • 4+ Medications – $110 per month

Importantly, there are no hidden fees, and prices remain consistent even if retail costs fluctuate.

Trulance is expensive without assistance. Several factors affect medication pricing:

  • Dosage: Prescribed strength influences total monthly expense
  • Location: Geographic region affects pharmacy pricing structures
  • Pharmacy: Individual store pricing creates cost variations
  • Insurance Coverage: Plan details determine whether you pay full retail or reduced copays

Programs generally require annual household income under $40,000 for individuals, $60,000 for couples, or $100,000 for larger families. Since manufacturers create distinct eligibility criteria, we assess each situation individually. Contact us and we’ll determine whether your circumstances meet program requirements.

We manage the entire application cycle, including form preparation, physician coordination, and pharmaceutical company submission. After enrollment, we schedule automatic medication deliveries to ensure prescriptions arrive without reapplication. Many patients remain unaware these programs exist, while others find applications too complex to complete. We address both challenges.
