Your HIV diagnosis forced you to confront mortality at a young age. That was until your infectious disease doctor prescribed Odefsey, a once-daily pill combining three antivirals that suppress viral load to undetectable levels. After six months on treatment, your CD4 count climbed and viral load dropped to zero. You could live a normal lifespan. Then you saw what this single pill costs monthly and wondered how anyone affords to stay alive with HIV.

Our dedicated advocates at The Rx Advocates connect HIV patients to Patient Assistance Programs (PAPs) making Odefsey affordable based on your income instead of pharmacy prices.

What is the Odefsey Patient Assistance Program?

Manufacturers of HIV medications fund programs for people living with HIV who can’t afford antiretroviral therapy at retail prices. Getting accepted means Odefsey costs drop to manageable levels, ensuring financial barriers don’t interrupt the treatment keeping you alive and healthy.

What you do: submit your prescription and income proof. What we do: build your complete application, work with your infectious disease specialist for required documentation, file everything with the manufacturer, track approval status. Once you’re in, Odefsey ships monthly to your door.

We advocate for HIV patients needing access to programs that price life-saving medications based on what people can realistically afford.

How to Qualify

Manufacturers review several eligibility factors. Your approval odds improve when meeting these income guidelines:

  • Singles earning under $40,000 per year
  • Couples with combined income below $60,000 annually
  • Families of three or more making less than $100,000 yearly
  • Valid prescription from licensed provider

Income represents just one qualifying factor. Each company evaluates additional criteria unique to their program. That’s why individual assessment matters. Reach out to our team today to see if you qualify.

The Rx Advocates Can Help Reduce Odefsey Costs

Monthly service fees stay constant even when Odefsey prices rise. What you pay depends only on the total medication count needing assistance.

HIV requires lifelong daily treatment without interruption. We designed our service for patients dealing with insurance gaps – policies inadequately covering HIV drugs, sky-high deductibles, or jobs offering minimal health benefits.

We don’t operate through coupons. Our work involves processing enrollment for manufacturer programs delivering ongoing medication access at prices dramatically below retail.

Why Patient Assistance Programs Beat Coupons

Coupons reduce costs temporarily. Programs solve affordability long-term.

Coupon limitations

  • Pharmacy restrictions: Accepted at limited locations only
  • Copay accumulators: Savings don’t count toward deductibles
  • Expiration dates: Worthless after brief periods
  • Coverage gaps: Inadequate for expensive HIV medications

PAP advantages

  • Substantial savings: Discounts vastly exceeding coupon values
  • Reliable access: Medication arrives monthly without searching
  • Predictable costs: Fees unchanged despite price increases
  • Convenient delivery: Shipped directly to you

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Questions about Odefsey and assistance programs answered here.

With The Rx Advocates, patients pay a fixed monthly service fee, which depends on the number of medications covered.

  • 1 Medication (Odefsey only) – $80 per month
  • 2 Medications (Odefsey + 1 other) – $90 per month
  • 3 Medications (Odefsey + 2 others) – $100 per month
  • 4+ Medications – $110 per month

Importantly, there are no hidden fees, and prices remain consistent even if retail costs fluctuate.

Purchasing Odefsey without program help runs over $3,000 monthly at most pharmacies. What you’d pay depends on uncontrollable factors.

Price variables:

  • Dosage: The specific formulation prescribed
  • Location: Geographic area affects drug pricing
  • Pharmacy: Different stores charge different amounts
  • Insurance Coverage: Plan specifics determine your costs

Income limits typically sit around $40k for individuals, $60k for couples, $100k for families. These provide baseline guidelines only. Companies evaluate other qualification factors requiring personal review of your situation.

We handle your complete enrollment and monthly prescription management – obtaining specialist paperwork, completing manufacturer applications, and coordinating delivery preventing treatment interruptions.

About Odefsey

Odefsey combines emtricitabine, rilpivirine, and tenofovir alafenamide in a single tablet for treating HIV-1 infection in adults and adolescents.

How it works: Emtricitabine and tenofovir alafenamide are nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors blocking HIV replication. Rilpivirine is a non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor preventing viral RNA conversion to DNA. Together they suppress viral load to undetectable levels.

Administration: Take one tablet daily with food. Must be taken with a meal containing at least 390 calories for proper absorption. Take at the same time daily for best results.

Side effects:

  • Common: Headache, insomnia, depressive symptoms, nausea, fatigue
  • Serious: Severe depression, kidney problems, liver toxicity, lactic acidosis

Important warnings: Can cause serious mental health side effects including depression and suicidal thoughts. Requires monitoring of kidney and liver function. Get tested for hepatitis B before starting – stopping Odefsey can cause severe hepatitis B flare-ups. May interact with acid-reducing medications, St. John’s Wort, and seizure drugs.

Get Started Today

Uncontrolled HIV destroys your immune system, leading to AIDS and death. Interrupting Odefsey allows viral load to rebound and develop drug resistance, potentially making the virus untreatable. Missing doses because you can’t afford medication means losing years of hard-won viral suppression.

Drug companies fund these programs knowing HIV patients need affordable access to antiretrovirals for life.
