The Rx Advocates help people connect with over 100 patient assistance programs. These programs include 800 FDA-approved medications that people need to be healthy. We are a nationally recognized prescription advocacy program.

The Rx Advocates is not a prescription discount card, coupon, or insurance plan. We connect people with pharmaceutical companies’ patient assistance programs to get them the medications they need at an affordable price. We get patients the medications they need with less stress.

Patients who get their medications with The Rx Advocates pay a fixed service fee of $80-$110 per month. The price depends on the number of different medications that are being received. The price from The Rx Advocates does not change even if the retail price of the medication changes.

For example:

1 Medication (e.g. Pradaxa Only) – Fixed cost $80 per month
2 Medications (Pradaxa + 1 other) – Fixed cost $90 per month
3 Medications (Pradaxa + 2 others) – Fixed cost of $100 per month

How much does Pradaxa cost?

As of December 2024, the average retail cost of Pradaxa is $599.15.

The cost of Pradaxa can vary for a few different reasons. Costs of living are different in varying parts of the country. Which pharmacy the patient uses can affect the price they pay. Insurance makes a big difference in prices, especially if the patient does not have insurance. Pradaxa comes in three dosages: 75mg, 110mg, and 150mg.

Pradaxa coupon, discounts, & patient assistance FAQ's

Pradaxa (dabigatran etexilate) is an anticoagulant that helps prevent the formation of blood clots. It can be prescribed to patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation, a history of deep vein thrombosis, a history of pulmonary embolism, or for prophylaxis of blood clots after surgery

Atrial fibrillation is an irregular heartbeat that can lead to blood clots, stroke, and other clotting complications. Non-valvular means that the heart valves are healthy and there are no replacement valves.

Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clot that forms in the deep veins of the body. These clots often form in the legs or arms. The blood clot stops normal blood flow in the vein. This can cause pain and swelling.

If a piece of the DVTclot breaks off and travels to the lungs it can cause a pulmonary embolism (PE). A PE can be life-threatening. Pradaxa can be prescribed to prevent DVTand to prevent it from happening again.

Pradaxa should not be used by someone who is currently bleeding from an injury or surgery. It should also not be used by anyone with an artificial heart valve. Women should not breastfeed their babies if they are taking Pradaxa.

There are other FDA approved anticoagulants, they include:

At The Rx Advocates, we do not hand out coupons that people need to remember to take to the pharmacy. We would like to explain how a coupon works. When a patient is prescribed Pradaxa, they may do an internet search for a coupon.

This is a reasonable thing to do as prescription medications are often very expensive. Some patients cannot continue to take the medication if they do not find a lower price. It can be even harder to afford if they have multiple daily medications. However, coupons do not always have the highest amount of savings available.

A Pradaxa coupon may save someone a little bit of money, but they may still have a large out-of-pocket cost.

Even with this coupon, some patients cannot afford to get Pradaxa. Often coupons may only be used one time, then patients will have to pay the full price. Some coupons have great deals for the first few months of using the prescription, but then patients have to pay the full price when the coupon expires.

Through The Rx Advocates

At The Rx Advocates, our goal is to help patients get the monthly medications they need at a price they can afford. We know how expensive prescription medications can be. Patient assistance programs are put together by pharmaceutical companies to provide people the medications they need at no cost. Patients can apply by themselves, but the process is long and can be confusing. Many people may give up before they can be approved.

The Rx Advocates work with patients and their doctors to put together all of the information for the application to the patient assistance programs. Then we submit the application and follow up with each pharmaceutical company to make sure that everything that was needed was submitted. After the pharmaceutical company approves the application, we continue to take care of any additional paperwork.

Patient assistance programs are a huge benefit to people without health insurance. But these programs can be just as helpful for patients that do have health insurance. If a patient with health insurance meets the income guidelines, they may also be approved.

Prescription medication costs can be hundreds or even thousands of dollars each month. This is especially true if someone needs multiple medications each month. The Rx Advocates can help patients get the medications they need each month without having to stress over the high monthly price.

The Rx Advocates help people get approved for patient assistance programs to help them save money every month. The only monthly cost is the service fee of $80-$110. There are no hidden fees or surprise charges.

The Rx Advocates are here to help you. We can check to see if you and your family are eligible for Pradaxa patient assistance programs. We can also help you with other prescription medications, and your savings may be substantial. To get started right away, please contact us for assistance.
