Who are The Rx Advocates?

The Rx Advocates is a renowned advocacy program that provides support and help to many people in obtaining their prescription medications at affordable prices. We work with more than 100 United States-based pharmaceutical manufacturers’ patient assistance programs. The medications we help people to obtain at significantly lower prices are among the top 100 most prescribed medicines in the United States. We are able to help people to receive more than 800 medications that are FDA approved.

People who qualify for our assistance will never receive any extra charges or additional fees for our services. Patients who receive assistance from The Rx Advocates will pay a set service fee each month based on the number of medications they need assistance to receive each month. For example, patients who need only one medication filled each month will have a set service fee of $60. People who need two medications each month will pay a set service fee of $70. People who need three monthly medications filled will pay a set service fee of $80. People needing four or more medications each month will pay a set service fee of $90. There are never any additional fees or extra charges for our services.

The Rx Advocates is not a prescription card, health insurance plan, or coupon. We provide assistance to people in receiving their monthly prescription medications so they can live a healthy life both physically and mentally. When patients qualify for our program, they find peace of mind knowing that they have a set price for their medications each month and that price is affordable.

Latuda Prescription Discounts:
Frequently Asked Questions

Latuda (lurasidone) is a once-daily prescription medication prescribed for adults and children for the treatment of depressive episodes in bipolar depression or schizophrenia.

Latuda works by blocking certain dopamine and serotonin receptors in the brain, which helps to regulate mood and thoughts. Latuda also has a benefit on cognition for people with schizophrenia.

The recommended starting dose of Latuda for people with Schizophrenia is 40 mg once daily. The dose can be increased to a maximum of 160 mg per day.

The recommended dose for people with Bipolar disorder is between 20 mg to 120 mg once daily by itself or as adjunctive therapy with other medications.

When prescribed Latuda, you should follow up closely with your doctor. While taking Latuda, avoid alcohol and grapefruit (it may affect the amount of Latuda in your blood). Take Latuda with a high-fat meal of at least 350 calories to help your body absorb Latuda.

Tell your doctor and pharmacist all of the medications you are taking before starting Latuda. It has many potential drug-drug interactions.

The following factors affect the cost of Latuda:  the dosage amount prescribed by the doctor, the location of the patient, the location of the pharmacy, and whether or not the patient has health insurance.

As of March 2021, patients who are prescribed Latuda can expect to pay as much as $1,500 to $1,600 for this medication. This medication dosage ranges from 20 mg to 160 mg and comes in tablet form.

Although we do not offer coupons to our patients, we feel it is vital that people understand how coupons work. Many people who are prescribed Latuda, will get on the Internet to search for a Latuda coupon so they can save on out-of-pocket expenses for this very pricey medication. They quickly realize that coupons do not offer the type of savings that can really make a big difference.

Latuda coupons help save a little but still leave patients paying hundreds and even thousands of dollars each month. For example, as of March of 2021, a person who receives a Rite Aid coupon for Latuda may still pay as much as $1,400. Latuda retails $1738 at Rite Aid so this is a 19% savings. People quickly realize that coupons alone cannot provide the savings they need in order for them to obtain Latuda on a monthly basis.

Prescription discount cards permit people to access lower drug costs for their prescriptions. These cards are most useful for people who pay for their prescriptions with cash. These prescription cards are free and they are available to people who have insurance and who do not have insurance.

There are many savings programs that negotiate prices on medications like Latuda. Patients are able to obtain those lower drug prices through these prescription discount cards.
