How can we help to reduce the cost of Dexilant?

The Rx Advocates is a renowned advocacy program that provides assistance to people to help them obtain their monthly prescriptions at an affordable price through patient assistance programs. We partner with more than 100 United States-based pharmaceutical manufacturers’ patient assistance programs. The medications we help people obtain include the top 100 most prescribed medicines in the United States. We are able to provide for people to obtain more than 800 medications that are FDA approved.

When patients qualify for The Rx Advocates, they can rest assured that they will never be charged extra for any of our services, and they will never have any hidden fees. They will have a set amount to pay each month based on the number of medications they need.

The Rx Advocates, is not an insurance plan, a coupon, or a prescription discount card. We provide assistance to people who need an affordable alternative to obtain their medication so they can stay healthy both mentally and physically.

Are there any disadvantages to using a Dexilant Coupon?

While Dexilant coupons can be helpful in reducing the cost of your medication, they do come with some limitations to consider:

  1. Insurance Restrictions: Coupons may not be accepted by some insurance plans. Patients should check with their insurance provider to ensure that they can use the coupon before relying on it to reduce the cost of their medication.
  2. Limited Savings: While coupons can provide significant savings, they may not be enough to bring the cost of medication within an affordable range for some patients. The discount provided by the coupon may only apply to a certain quantity or a limited number of refills, after which patients may be responsible for paying the full price.
  3. Expiration Dates: Coupons are time-limited and may expire before the patient has a chance to use them.
  4. Eligibility Limitations: Some coupons may have restrictions on who can use them or how many times they can be used, making it difficult for patients to rely on them as a long-term solution for managing the cost of their medication.

While coupons may provide temporary relief, patient assistance programs can offer more long-term savings. The Rx Advocates can help you apply to and qualify for these programs, which provide eligible patients with free or low-cost medication.

Dexilant Coupon & Patient Assistance Program FAQ's

Dexilant is a prescription medication that treats gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and erosive esophagitis. Dexilant begins working in about 2-3 days and can provide relief from symptoms over 24 hours.

Dexilant is available in 30 mg and 60 mg doses.

It can be used in children from ages 12 and older to treat heartburn-related GERD for 4-16 weeks and for up to 8 weeks to heal acid-related damage to the lining of the esophagus. It is unknown if it is effective in treating GERD in children under 12 years of age.

In adults, Dexilant is used to treat GERD for up to 4 weeks, and between 8 weeks to 6 months to heal acid-related damage to the esophagus.

Dexilant is not for everyone. Do not take Dexilant if you are allergic to Dexilant or to any of the ingredients in Dexilant or if you are taking medicine that contains rilpivirine. Do not take this medication if you have a type of kidney problem called acute tubulointerstitial. Children under 12 should not take this medication.

There are several medications that are alternatives to Dexilant. These medications are FDA approved and they include:

Even though we do not offer coupons, we still feel it is vital that people understand how coupons work. When people are prescribed Dexilant, many will go online to search for coupons and understandably so because it can be expensive to pay full price. However, coupons do not provide the kind of savings needed from one month to another.

Dexilant coupons save people some money but still leave patients paying hundreds or more for their prescription medications.

Prescription drug coupons also go by the following names:  copay cards, copay coupons, copay assistance programs, and pharmacy coupons. These cards represent a program that has been funded by the pharmaceutical company to help the cost of prescriptions to go lower for patients. There are limitations to these savings such as:

  • Coupons are for a limited time only. They may help patients save on their prescriptions to start with but these savings do not continue from month to month.
  • Some coupons help save for the first month but not for subsequent months.
  • Patients have to leave home and go to the pharmacist to present the coupon to the pharmacist and pick up their medication.

Prescription discount cards assist people to receive a lower cost for their prescription medications. These cards are most helpful to people who pay cash for their medications. People do not have to pay anything for these cards. Prescription discount cards are available to people who have insurance and to people who do not.

There are multiple savings programs that negotiate for lower drug costs on medications like Dexilant. People obtain those lower prices through their prescription discount cards.
