Pharmaceutical manufacturers operate Patient Assistance Programs (PAPs) to help eligible patients access medications they otherwise couldn’t afford. Brilinta’s program provides continuous cardiovascular medication access without the restrictions coupons impose.

The RX Advocates assembles your application documentation, coordinates with your prescribing physician, and submits everything to the manufacturer. After approval, we monitor your enrollment status and schedule refills to keep your treatment uninterrupted.

How to Qualify

Do you qualify for Patient Assistance Programs (PAPs)? Well, you must meet specific income and residency standards. We help patients understand these requirements and determine if it’s right for their circumstances.

Typical requirements to qualify include:

  • Individuals qualify if they earn up to $40,000 annually
  • Couples qualify if they earn up to $60,000 annually
  • Larger families qualify if they earn up to $100,000 annually
  • U.S. residency and a valid prescription

Program standards differ between manufacturers. Reach out to our representatives to learn about your eligibility.

Why PAPs Are Better Than Coupons

Relying on Brilinta coupons for long-term cardiovascular medication creates multiple problems. Understanding these limitations explains why patient assistance programs deliver superior value.

Disadvantages of coupons

  • Restrictions: Valid only at participating pharmacies, creating access problems for patients living far from these locations
  • Copay Accumulators: Insurance copay accumulators often prevent coupon savings from applying to your out-of-pocket maximum
  • Expiration Dates: Time-limited validity requires constant searching for replacement coupons or paying full retail price
  • Limited Coverage: Even substantial percentage discounts leave patients with unaffordable out-of-pocket costs on expensive medications

Advantages of PAP through The Rx Advocates

  • Fixed Monthly Cost: Your service fee never changes regardless of retail price fluctuations
  • No Expiration: Program access continues indefinitely without renewal requirements
  • Direct From Manufacturer: Medication arrives reliably from the pharmaceutical source
  • Broad Support: Coverage includes over 800 FDA-approved prescription medications

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

If you have questions, we have answers about Brilinta costs and patient assistance programs here.

With The Rx Advocates, patients pay a fixed monthly service fee, which depends on the number of medications covered.

  • 1 Medication (Brilinta only) – $80 per month
  • 2 Medications (Brilinta + 1 other) – $90 per month
  • 3 Medications (Brilinta + 2 others) – $100 per month
  • 4+ Medications – $110 per month

Importantly, there are no hidden fees, and prices remain consistent even if retail costs fluctuate.

Without a patient assistance program, Brilinta is very expensive

However, the price you pay varies based on multiple factors:

  • Dosage: Prescribed dosage from your healthcare provider affects costs
  • Location: Your geographic area impacts pricing
  • Pharmacy: Pharmacy location influences final costs
  • Insurance Coverage: Whether your health insurance plan offers prescription medication coverage significantly affects out-of-pocket expenses

Most patients meet basic requirements: singles earning under $40,000 yearly, couples with combined income below $60,000, or families with household earnings under $100,000. Speak with our representatives about your specific circumstances.

We manage the complete process: paperwork assembly, manufacturer application submission, and home delivery coordination. You won’t make pharmacy trips, and refills happen automatically at no additional charge.

About Brilinta

Brilinta (ticagrelor) is an oral antiplatelet medication. It is primarily prescribed for adults with acute coronary syndrome or heart attack history to reduce cardiovascular event risk.

Mechanism of action: Brilinta prevents blood platelets from clumping and forming dangerous clots. Combined with low-dose aspirin (under 100 mg daily), it provides dual antiplatelet therapy. Higher aspirin doses reduce Brilinta’s effectiveness.

Additional uses: Brilinta reduces clot formation in patients receiving coronary stents during acute coronary syndrome treatment. Must be taken consistently with aspirin as cardiovascular therapy.

Form & administration: Administered by the patient as an oral tablet taken twice daily. Available in 60 mg and 90 mg strengths. Take with low-dose aspirin following healthcare provider instructions.

Side effects:

  • Common: headache, dizziness, back pain, bleeding gums, increased menstrual flow, nausea, fatigue. Antiplatelet action increases bruising and bleeding risk.
  • Serious: internal bleeding (vomit resembling coffee grounds, bright or dark red stools, discolored urine), severe allergic reactions (facial swelling, breathing difficulty), irregular heartbeat, liver damage, respiratory problems.
  • Warning: antiplatelet medication increases bleeding risk; avoid contact sports, use electric razors instead of blades, employ soft toothbrushes; seek immediate medical attention for bleeding signs or severe reactions.
