Cancer doesn’t stop growing because you can’t afford medication. Your oncologist prescribed Afinitor when kidney tumors kept spreading despite surgery. The targeted therapy worked – scans showed tumors stabilizing instead of multiplying. Staying alive meant staying on Afinitor. Then you saw monthly costs that made continuing treatment seem impossible.

Our team at The Rx Advocates connects cancer patients to Patient Assistance Programs (PAPs) that price Afinitor based on what you earn, not what oncology pharmacies charge.

What is the Afinitor Patient Assistance Program?

Cancer medication manufacturers fund programs for patients who can’t pay retail prices for oral chemotherapy. Qualifying slashes Afinitor costs dramatically, keeping money problems from stopping treatment that’s keeping you alive.

You provide prescription and income documents. We build applications, get medical verification from your oncologist, file with manufacturers, track approvals. Once you’re in, Afinitor ships monthly to your home.

We connect advanced cancer patients to pharmaceutical programs that set medication prices based on financial reality.

How to Qualify

Companies evaluate several factors when reviewing who gets approved. Your chances strengthen when you meet these income levels:

  • Singles earning under $40,000 yearly
  • Couples making below $60,000 combined per year
  • Families of three or more with income under $100,000 annually
  • Active prescription from your oncologist

Income isn’t everything. Each manufacturer checks other factors unique to their program. Every case gets reviewed separately. Wondering if you qualify? Reach out for personalized assessment.

4 Medications

The Rx Advocates Can Help Reduce Afinitor Costs

Our fees never budge even when Afinitor prices skyrocket. What you pay depends only on medication count needing help:

  • 1 medication: $80 per month
  • 2 medications: $90 per month
  • 3 medications: $100 per month
  • 4+ medications: $110 per month

Advanced cancer requires continuous targeted therapy for tumor control. We designed this for patients hitting insurance walls – policies excluding oral cancer drugs, out-of-pocket maximums already maxed out, or lifetime caps on cancer medication coverage.

Temporary coupons don’t fit what we do. We handle manufacturer enrollment that keeps cancer medications accessible at prices you can sustain.

Why Patient Assistance Programs Beat Coupons

Coupons help briefly, but patient assistance programs? These help continuously.

Coupon weaknesses

  • Pharmacy restrictions: Valid only certain locations
  • Copay accumulators: Don’t reduce deductibles
  • Expiration dates: Disappear fast
  • Coverage gaps: Insufficient for cancer drugs

PAP advantages

  • Substantial savings: Discounts exceeding coupons significantly
  • Reliable access: Pills arrive monthly
  • Predictable costs: Fixed fees
  • Convenient delivery: Shipped to you

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Cancer patients ask us these questions about Afinitor and PAPs:

With The Rx Advocates, patients pay a fixed monthly service fee, which depends on the number of medications covered.

  • 1 Medication (Afinitor only) – $80 per month
  • 2 Medications (Afinitor + 1 other) – $90 per month
  • 3 Medications (Afinitor + 2 others) – $100 per month
  • 4+ Medications – $110 per month

Importantly, there are no hidden fees, and prices remain consistent even if retail costs fluctuate.

Prices swing wildly between specialty pharmacies. What you’d spend depends on location, pharmacy choice, and whether insurance covers oral cancer medications.

Income thresholds typically sit around $40k for singles, $60k for couples, $100k for families. Starting point only – manufacturers examine other criteria requiring individual evaluation.

We manage complete enrollment and ongoing delivery – collecting oncologist paperwork, submitting applications correctly, coordinating shipments to prevent treatment gaps.

About Afinitor

Afinitor contains everolimus, an mTOR inhibitor treating advanced kidney cancer, neuroendocrine tumors, and hormone receptor-positive breast cancer.

How it works: Everolimus blocks mTOR protein that cancer cells need for growth and survival. Blocking mTOR starves tumors of nutrients and signals, slowing cancer progression.

Administration: Take one tablet daily at same time with or without food. Swallow whole with water – don’t crush or chew. Continue until disease progression or intolerable side effects.

Side effects:

  • Common: Mouth sores, infections, rash, fatigue, diarrhea, decreased appetite
  • Serious: Lung inflammation, infections, kidney failure, blood sugar elevation, wound healing problems

Important warnings: Can cause severe lung inflammation requiring immediate treatment. Weakens immune system increasing infection risk including fatal opportunistic infections. Raises blood sugar potentially causing diabetes. Impairs wound healing – stop before surgery. May cause kidney failure. Increases cholesterol and triglycerides requiring monitoring.
